Whether you’re adjusting the temperature, streaming your favorite show, or playing music throughout the house, this guide will help you make the most of it.
Connecting to the Wi-Fi is quick and straightforward:
Open your phone, tablet, or laptop’s Wi-Fi settings.
Look for the network name labeled “TimeOutOBX” (or see the label on the fridge).
Tap to join that network.
When prompted, enter the password displayed on the welcome sheet on the fridge.
Wait a few seconds — you should be connected!
All TVs in the house are Samsung Smart TVs, and the YouTube TV app is already installed and signed in, giving you access to full live cable and local channels.
How to Use the TV:
Press the Home button on the Samsung remote.
Navigate to YouTube TV and press OK to launch.
Browse live TV or channels using the remote.
Want to watch Netflix, HBO, Disney+ or more? Open the app and log into your personal account.
You’ll be automatically logged out after check-out or can log out manually in the app’s settings.

Connect your device to the TimeOutOBX Wi-Fi network.
Open your streaming app (e.g., Netflix or YouTube).

Tap the AirPlay icon (a triangle with circles) in the playback controls.

Ensure your Android device is on Time Out OBX Wi-Fi.
Open a music or audio app that supports casting (like Spotify, Pandora).
Tap the Cast icon in the app and select your Sonos speaker.
Your audio will begin playing—no Sonos app needed.
💡 Tip: Apps without native casting can still work if they support Android cast protocols.
Here’s how to adjust the temperature or switch heating and cooling modes on the Google Nest Thermostat (slim version with touch bar on the right side):
Tap the right side of the thermostat to wake the display.
Slide your finger up or down along the right side to adjust the temperature.
Tap again to open the menu.

Tap to select Mode, then choose: Heat, Cool, Heat•Cool, or Off.
Tap again to confirm your selection.
Pro Tip: Each floor has its own thermostat — check the labels to manage zones separately.
This large-format kitchen centerpiece features powerful gas burners and dual ovens—all with straightforward manual controls.
Turn the knob to your desired heat level, from “LoSim” (low simmer) to “Hi”.
Push in and release after ignition clicks. If it doesn’t ignite, repeat—ensure the flame lights within 4 seconds.
Adjust flame manually by turning the knob slightly back for precise temperature control.
Adjust the griddle knob to the desired temp.
After a few minutes, test by dropping a little water—it should “dance” when the griddle hits ~375°F.
Turn knob to “Off” when done and wait for the griddle to cool before handling.
Turn the inner knob to the desired bake mode.
Rotate the temperature dial to your desired setting.
Press “Oven Start/Off”.
Use the right or left oven depending on what you’re baking or roasting.
Press the “Timer” button.
Turn the “select” to adjust the hours, push it to change to Minutes and them press to confirm the time.
It will automatically ring when time is up.
To cancel, press the knob 3 seconds.
The house is protected by a 24/7 monitored SimpliSafe system. Your privacy is fully respected—no indoor cameras are present.
There are two types of detectors throughout the home:
SimpliSafe Monitored Detectors: If triggered, these will automatically notify the fire department. If triggered accidentally (e.g., from cooking), you can silence the alarm from the panel on the second floor near the elevator using the PIN posted there.
Standard Detectors: These will sound but can be silenced by airing out the space—no code required.
These are inactive unless you arm the SimpliSafe system, which is not recommended. You should not use the security alarm (unless desired); it’s for off-season purposes.
To protect your stay and the property, we’ve placed leak sensors under all three dishwashers and near the water heater. If a leak is detected, we’ll coordinate with Twiddy immediately to prevent any disruption to your vacation.
Our home’s elevator is a great convenience, especially for luggage or multigenerational guests, but it must be used properly to avoid interruptions.
Always close the interior sliding door before closing the main white outer door. If the sliding door is not opened and shut after the main door is opened—even briefly—the elevator will stop working.
Never leave the main white door open. Be sure to close both doors promptly after exiting.
If the door doesn’t open after a delay, press your desired floor again and it should unlock.
Do not allow children to operate or play inside or near the elevator unattended.
